Zubak Grupa, one of the most successful and long-lived Croatian family owned companies announced the implementation of planned changes to the management structure as of December 1, 2020.
After having spent 42 years at the helm of Zubak Grupa, Pavo Zubak, owner and founder of the company, stepped down from the role of CEO and got appointed President of the Supervisory Board. His son Ivan Zubak (37) assumed the position of CEO of Zubak Grupa.
The Management Board now consists of 4 members, and along with the President Ivan Zubak, consists of Dubravko Skender, Dimitrije Trbović and Žaklina Trbović. Additionally, a team of experienced directors in charge of operational management of all activities from Zubak Grupa’s portfolio has been appointed by the Management Board.
This is a continuation of the restructuring process that began two years ago, when it was decided to adapt the company’s senior and middle management to the business strategy that will be the bearer of development in the years to come. The first and symbolic decision of the new Management Board is a donation of 50,000 kuna to the „Ljubav na djelu“ Association, which brings together children and parents of children with malignant and chronic diseases who are treated at Zagreb’s Clinic for Children’s Diseases.
About the members of the Management Board:
dr.sc. Dubravko Skender (51) – in charge of corporate functions (accounting, finance, controlling, human resources, legal affairs and asset management). Doctor of Economics in the field of organization and management. Skender was appointed member of the Management Board of Zubak Grupa 16 years ago, leaving the previous position of Director of the Internal Audit Department at Zagrebačka banka.
Dimitrije Trbović (48) – in charge of sales and post-sales of vehicles and IT. He joined Zubak Grupa 19 years ago as a sales manager at VW and then held various management positions until 2013, when he was appointed President of the Management Board of AutoZubak. After the merger of AutoZubak and ORYX Grupa in 2018, he took over the role of member of the Management Board of Zubak Grupa. He holds the Master of Business Administration title at IEDC Bled and is the winner of the Volkswagen Gold Badge and the youngest winner of the Diamond Badge.
Žaklina Trbović (44) – Board member in charge of marketing and corporate communications. She graduated from the Faculty of Economics, University of Zagreb, majoring in marketing. Žaklina started working in the company 20 years ago from a receptionist position, then marketing information system and then took over the position of head of the Marketing department. She was appointed member of the Management Board in 2013.
Ivan Zubak (37) – in addition to developing the strategy of the entire company and supervising its implementation, Ivan Zubak is directly responsible for post sales of ORYX Assistance, ORYX Rent a car and ORYX Technical Inspection Station. He is also directly responsible for the Human Resources Development and Management and Internal Audit Departments. He graduated as the best student of his generation at ZŠEM, and has been employed by the company for the past 18 years, starting from the Research and Development Department to the position of President of ORYX Grupa in 2013. After merging AutoZubak and ORYX Grupa in 2018, he took over the role of Zubak Grupa held until December 2020 when he took over the role of President of the Management Board.
